Well, funny you should ask. I asked myself that when the wire was released about it originally, and I have finally come up with the reason.

President Bush is not a Conservative!!

Look at his record. What has he done in his eight years in office that can be conservative move? I expect many of you to be thinking in your head right now, "What about the War in Iraq?". What about it? Let's look at our war history for a moment. Who was the President that declared war for WWI? Woodrow Wilson - Democrat. Who was the President that declared war for WWII? Franklin Roosevelt - Democrat. I'm not saying that war is a Democratic or Liberal thing either, but it is clearly a non-partisan event. However, it is interesting to note that most acts war or attacks on America and it properties have happened while a Democrat has been in office. Back to the discussion at hand.

Suppose you aren't thinking of the war but are thinking of the tax cuts. While it is true that tax cuts are not made by liberals, it is still inaccurate to say that all tax cuts are made by conservatives.

While it is true that President Bush is a Republican, and while it is true that he is/was more conservative than his challengers, I would feign to say that he is a true Conservative.

In these coming last days of trying to secure the party nod, there seems to be great stir (even more than normal) over who, and why? Give me your thoughts. Don't worry, I will give you mine!
